If you’re a homeowner, you will agree that carpet stains are one of the worst things that could happen to your house. The carpet needs to be cleaned all the time, and stains only make the situation worse. If we see coffee spilling on our precious carpet, our first impulse is to remove the stain by getting a cloth and rubbing the carpet. But, we end up with a bigger stain instead.

There are a lot of stain removal methods out there, but there are stains that need the specific set of stain removers. Newmarket carpet cleaner will help you with these treatments should you experience big stains. The following are the stains we usually find at carpets and the corresponding treatment to remove them.

1. Pet Stains

One of the worst stains that you can get is the stain you get from your pets. This is the challenge that every pet owner has, especially if the pets are not trained to poo or piss outside. Thank God there are substances that can remove the odor and the stains. First, dispose the debris on the carpet. If wet, use a cloth and blot the moisture. Don’t rub or smear the stain. Do this until the carpet is already dry. But if the stain already dried on the carpet, moisten the stain and apply a cleaning product. There are those for pet stains that you can buy.

To remove the spot and odor, try using white wine or white vinegar. Just mix a quart of warm water and ½ cup of the vinegar. Spray and allow to soak for few minutes. Do the blot method until the spot is dry and stain is gone.

2. Kool-Aid Stains

Another worse stain is Kool-Aid stains. They can create a great mess especially for white carpet. To remove them, get a dry white towel and blot the stain. Don’t rub to avoid saturation. Get a spray bottle and mix dish soap and white vinegar. Spray the mixture into the stain and let it soak for 5 minutes. There are lots of stain removal products as stubborn as Kool-Aid stains.

3. Removing Blood Stains

If you suddenly cut yourself and the blood drips down the carpet, don’t panic. Go get something to stop the blood and put a bandage on the cut. Don’t let the blood dry on the carpet, the faster you act the easier it’s going to be removed. Grab a cold water and spritzer bottle. Mix the water, liquid detergent and spray on the blood stain. Use a paper towel to blot the spot. Use cold water again for rinsing, and if the stain is still there repeat the process. Don’t use water ever because it only allows the blood to permeate in the fibers.

4. Remove Coffee Stains

If you don’t treat the coffee stains right away, it’s going to leave the carpet really ugly. Use a dry white towel and dry the spot. Don’t spread the stain. Mix water, vinegar and non-bleach detergent. Use the spritzer method and repeat if needed.
